2006 Port of Everett 12th Street Marina
American Construction Company (ACC) was selected by the Port of Everett to rebuild the 12th Street Marina Guest Moorage in Everett, WA.
ACC conducted demolition of two timber piers and numerous timber dolphins in order to clear the project site for the installation of the new structure. The main portion of the project was to construct a new access pier and new floating guest moorage. This was completed by furnishing and installing 42 steel guide piles ranging from 51' to 136' in length. An approach pier comprising 2,000 square feet was also constructed in order to maintain access. Finally, ACC dredged 3,700 cubic yards with open water disposal and placed 33,000 tons of rip rap in order to preserve the marina.
Despite multiple increases in the project scope during construction, ACC was able to maintain clear communication with the owner, identify ways to streamline the project, and complete the project within the original timeline.
