2008 Port of Everett P & Q Dock Replacement Project
American Construction Company (ACC) won a contract to perform the demolition and installation of docks for the Port of Everett near Everett, Washington. The project was essential for the economic growth of the Port of Everett and the surrounding community.
ACC performed the demolition and removal of approximately 1,500 tons of floats and 183 tons of creosote piles. We installed 1,900 linear feet of main walkway dock floats and 2,400 linear feet of finger floats. All floats were concrete with internal conduits and junction boxes for electrical outlets. Finally, ACC dredged over 4,500 cubic yards in an extremely confined space and did not impede adjacent waterway traffic.
By temporarily reusing some of the floats, public access remained open during construction. No parts of the dock were damaged during dredging due to the care taken by the ACC team.
