History of American Construction Company
American Construction Company has a long proud history in the field of marine construction, dredging, and pile driving.
Founded in 1903 by Captain Harry Ramwell, Company was originally located in Port Townsend, Washington. It was soon moved to
Everett, an area that was experiencing rapid growth. In 2006 American Construction Company moved to Tacoma, on the Hylebos Waterway.
American Construction's Longevity and stability is demonstrated by its loyal and experienced workforce. Many of today's
workers are children of former employees.
We have stood through the test of time, two world wars and the great depression of the 1930's. The 1950's brought
economic expansion and growth, while the environmental concerns of the late 1960's required major adaptations. Through the energy
crisis and inflation in the 1970's we resolved to survive.
Even in these days of intense completion, American Construction stands out as a firm that has the right equipment,
the right people, and the right attitude to get the job done.
