2009 North Coast Mechanical Maintenance Dredging
American Construction Company (ACC) won a contract to perform maintenance dredging for the Corps of Engineers near Portland, Oregon. The project was essential for the economic growth of the greater Portland area and provided the necessary waterway access needed to conduct local business.
ACC dredged 194,000 cubic yards using our 200 ton Derrick Barge (DB) Patriot and dump barge Lummi Island. Working for the Portland District Corps of Engineers, ACC was able to fully meet all deadlines and regulatory compliances needed to complete the project. It is the experience of the ACC team that was able to overcome challenging weather conditions and maintain accurate passes of the clamshell dredge.
