2013 Will Rogers - Wiley Memorial Seaplane Base Maintenance Dredging
American Construction Co. (ACC) was awarded a contract to perform the maintenance dredging for the City of Renton at the Will Rogers - Wiley Memorial Seaplane site.
The project removed 16,000 cubic yards of sediment from the area using a clamshell bucket and transport to an open water disposal site in Elliott Bay. Additionally, the project site in Lake Washington has high standards for water quality due to the many residents encircling the body of water. To ensure maximum success of the project, ACC was extremely thorough in our processes to meet all regulations. ACC took the time to do the job correctly - the first time - and ensured precise and accurate work throughout the project.
This project was challenging due to the high water quality standards, work stoppages due to the active airport nearby, and the tight spaces in which to work. ACC overcame all obstacles and performed exceptionally to the satisfaction of the City of Renton.
